Ogun East APC Backs Dapo Abiodun for Senate 2027

The Ogun East chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially endorsed Governor Dapo Abiodun as their candidate for the 2027 Senate election, while snubbing former Governor Gbenga Daniel. This endorsement was announced during a gathering held at the Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu Ode, which aimed to unite party leaders and grassroots representatives across the district.

The statement was made available to journalists by Lekan Adeniran, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abiodun. The meeting included members of the Governor's Advisory Council, former local government chairmen, and various political leaders.

Former Ogun East Senator Lekan Mustapha expressed confidence in Abiodun's ability to effectively represent the district in the Senate. The event reportedly attracted 103 councillors from nine local governments in Ogun East, alongside youth leaders and top political figures.

Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the State Government, highlighted Abiodun's track record and the party's unity as deserving of the Senate seat.
