MacIver Backs Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid in Bayelsa

Joshua MacIver, the former deputy gubernatorial flag bearer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, has publicly declared his unwavering support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027. MacIver described Tinubu's re-election project as non-negotiable and urged APC leaders in Bayelsa to focus on internal unity to avoid pitfalls that could jeopardize their electoral success.

He highlighted the importance of addressing certain factors that could hinder the party's performance, including the imbalance of political blocs within the state, particularly in relation to the current governor, Douye Diri. MacIver noted that the political landscape is divided into two major blocs, with a significant majority supporting the APC.

He warned that failure to maintain unity could lead to dissatisfaction and high levels of defections from the party. MacIver emphasized the necessity of loyalty to Tinubu's re-election campaign and called for the party to avoid creating any loopholes that could be exploited by opposing political interests.
