APC Clears Chief David Sabo Kente for Taraba Guber Race

Chief David Sabo Kente has received clearance from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to participate in the gubernatorial race for Taraba State in the 2027 elections. Speaking to journalists, Kente expressed excitement about the journey ahead and urged the people of Taraba to keep faith in the party.

He commended the screening committee for their thorough and objective work, emphasizing the need for the APC to thrive and maintain its prospects. Kente highlighted the importance of allowing the electorate to choose their candidates through a level playing field, rather than imposing candidates.

He called on politicians in the state to avoid unnecessary political tensions and to focus on the future. Kente will be contesting the APC ticket against incumbent Governor Agbu Kefa, former Minister of Transport Alhaji Muazu Jaji Sambo, and former Minister of Power Engr.
