APC Group Backs Governor Oborevwori Ahead of 2027 Elections

A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has expressed its support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori by passing a vote of confidence during a meeting held in Asaba. The meeting, attended by members representing Isoko South Constituency II, was led by Isaac Anwuzia, who emphasized the need for party unity and grassroots mobilization in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

Anwuzia urged members to strengthen support for President Bola Tinubu and the APC candidates, describing the Delta APC as a robust political platform committed to advancing the party's fortunes in the state. Delta State APC Chairman Solomon Areyenka commended the members for promoting the achievements of Tinubu's administration and Oborevwori's governance.

Ndudi Elumelu cautioned against anti-party activities and stressed the importance of loyalty among party members, particularly those holding government appointments. The meeting concluded with a call for increased grassroots mobilization and greater inclusion of youth in party activities.
