Sumner Sambo Critiques APC's Exploitation of Opposition Weakness

Sumner Sambo, the Director of News and Politics Editor at Arise News, commented on the political landscape during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time. He asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is taking advantage of the laxity and absence of a strong ideological framework within opposition political parties.

Sambo emphasized that elected representatives should adhere to robust party-driven ideologies and resist any inducements. He specifically mentioned that leading opposition presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, need to intensify their efforts to contest the ruling party effectively, rather than relying on an expectation of a peaceful transition of power.

Furthermore, he called on opposition parties to develop comprehensive policies that address pressing issues such as the high cost of governance, the education crisis, and the distribution of infrastructure.
