APC Criticizes Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso Ahead of 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has publicly criticized leading opposition figures Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, accusing them of grandstanding despite their long-standing roles in Nigeria's political landscape. APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka made these remarks during an interview on TVC’s Beyond The Headlines on Tuesday.

He specifically dismissed Kwankwaso's assertion of providing a "new direction" for Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general election, arguing that Kwankwaso's political history disqualifies him from being an alternative to the current system. Morka stated, “Kwankwaso was a frontline contributor to the challenges that we are facing today.” He further accused the trio of using political rhetoric to manipulate public sentiment.

Morka also emphasized that Nigeria's political issues cannot be attributed to a single administration, noting that both military and civilian governments have historically misgoverned the country. His comments followed a claim that President Bola Tinubu has outperformed all previous democratically elected Nigerian presidents in their first terms.
