APC Replaces Hope Uzodimma with Aminu Masari as Convention Chair in Restructuring Move

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has replaced Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma with former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari as the Chairman of the National Convention Central Coordinating Committee. This change was announced as part of the party's preparations for its March 27-28, 2026 convention, seen as crucial for the party's future.

The decision to reconstitute the committee was made following consultations with the party's leadership and stakeholders. Uzodimma has been reassigned to the Treasury Committee, while other notable figures like Senator Barry Mpigi and Anyim Pius Anyim have been appointed to key roles.

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will serve as the Vice Chairman II. The reshuffle has added a layer of intrigue to the party's convention preparations, which include a nationwide electronic membership registration exercise and other activities aimed at strengthening the party's internal structures ahead of the 2027 elections.
