APC Deploys 4.4 Million Canvassers for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) mobilization group will deploy 4.4 million canvassers nationwide to 176,846 polling units ahead of the 2027 general elections. Governor Hope Uzodimma, the chairman of the Progress Governors' Forum, made this announcement during a retreat in Abuja.

The retreat, themed "Build a Unified Nation," aimed to strengthen the mobilization architecture of the APC by bringing together party leaders, governors, ministers, and stakeholders. Uzodimma stated that the mobilization network is structured at the national level down to the polling unit across the federation, with the initiative designed to deepen grassroots engagement and support for President Bola Tinubu's administration.

He emphasized that the mobilization effort aims to improve public understanding of government policies and reforms while maintaining a respectful dialogue with citizens. The mobilization structure will cover all six geopolitical zones, 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, 774 local government areas, and 8,809 wards.
