APC Deploys 4.4 Million Grassroots Agents for Tinubu's 2027 Bid

The All Progressives Congress has assembled a network of approximately 4.4 million grassroots operatives to support President Bola Tinubu's pursuit of a second term in the 2027 presidential election. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma made the announcement on Wednesday while addressing delegates at a two-day retreat for party ambassadors in Abuja.

The mobilization effort covers Nigeria's 176,846 polling units, with roughly 25 canvassers assigned to each location to conduct voter engagement activities. Uzodimma, who chairs the Progressive Governors Forum and serves as director-general of the party's Renewed Hope Ambassador network, framed the initiative as essential groundwork for the coming elections.

He stated that the 2027 contest will be determined by the government's track record rather than sentiment alone, emphasizing that citizens need to understand the long-term implications of current policy reforms. The retreat itself was designed to unify and strengthen the party's grassroots machinery ahead of the electoral cycle.

The scale of this mobilization underscores the APC's early preparation for 2027. With over four million volunteers positioned across the country's polling units, the party aims to translate government achievements into voter support at the ground level.

Uzodimma expressed confidence that Tinubu's administration has performed sufficiently to warrant another term, citing the government's economic and governance initiatives as evidence of progress. The Renewed Hope Ambassador network retreat included APC national leadership, governors, party officials, and other stakeholders involved in coordinating mobilization efforts.

The assembled delegates discussed strategies for translating government policies and achievements into grassroots support. According to the announcement, these 4.4 million agents will serve as the party's primary contact points with voters across Nigeria's 176,846 polling units.
