APC Denies Claims of High Nomination Fees for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially responded to viral reports claiming that the nomination fees for the 2027 elections would be set at N200 million for presidential aspirants and N150 million for governorship candidates. Felix Morka, the party's national secretary, issued a statement on Saturday, March 26-27, 2023, categorizing these figures as false and misleading.

He clarified that the party has not made any decisions regarding the costs of nomination forms for the upcoming elections. Morka warned the public against taking these claims seriously, describing them as a mere fabrication of the writer's imagination.

He stated that the APC is focused on strengthening its internal structure ahead of the 2027 elections rather than engaging in premature discussions about nomination costs. The party plans to clarify its position on nomination form prices at an appropriate time, concluding that the reports circulating are not reflective of any official decisions made by the APC.
