APC Advocates for Zoning Reps Seat to Moro LG in 2027

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are calling for the zoning of the House of Representatives seat to Moro Local Government in Kwara State for the 2027 elections. This appeal, made by Malam Kareem Suleiman on behalf of the people of Moro, highlights that the local government has not produced a representative in the House since the return to democracy in 1999.

The stakeholders argue that it is necessary to consider Moro for this position, especially given that other local governments in the area have had multiple opportunities to produce representatives. The statement points out that the four local governments in the Kwara North senatorial district have rotated the senatorial seat among themselves, while Moro has been sidelined.

The call for zoning is seen as a way to rectify this imbalance and ensure that Moro is given a fair chance in the political landscape of Kwara State.
