Kwara APC Aspirants Support Zoning for 2027 Senate Race

Aspirants from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State, have expressed their support for a zoning formula for the upcoming Senate race in 2027. They reaffirmed their commitment to the existing zoning arrangement within the Kwara North Senatorial District, emphasizing that the principle of rotation is crucial for sustaining political harmony and equity in the region.

The aspirants, including notable figures such as Sadiq Umar, pledged to respect the zoning arrangement and called for unity among themselves, stating that whoever emerges as the APC senatorial candidate from Patigi will receive full backing. They also urged the incumbent senator, Sadiq Umar, to honor the established zoning rotation.

The group called on the APC leadership in Kwara State, including Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to intervene to preserve peace and ensure adherence to the zoning agreement. They reaffirmed their support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and expressed expectations for intensified political discussions regarding the zoning power rotation in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
