APP Ready for 2027 Elections in Imo State, Says Njesi

The Action Peoples Party (APP) in Imo State has announced its readiness to contest the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in its potential for victory. During a press conference in Owerri, the party's chairman, Chief Ernest Njesi, revealed that the APP has uploaded its candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which includes three candidates for the Senate, ten for the House of Representatives, and twenty-seven for the Imo State House of Assembly.

Njesi stated that the party will actively engage with communities across Imo State to garner support and educate voters on its programs. He also disclosed that Dr Chima Matthew Amadi, the party's leader in Imo State, intends to run for the Imo East (Owerri Zone) Senate seat in 2027 and subsequently aims to become the Governor of Imo State.

Additionally, the APP condemned an alleged attack on its state secretariat and the destruction of a billboard, attributing these actions to political opponents. The party's Publicity Secretary, Amb.
