APP Chairman Njesi Affirms Party's Strength in Imo State

Hon. Ernest Njesi, the Imo State Chairman of the All Peoples Party (APP), announced that the party is firmly rooted in all areas of Imo State as the 2027 general elections approach.

Speaking in Owerri, he highlighted the party's readiness for the upcoming campaign, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) set to lift the ban on political campaigns in two weeks. Njesi expressed satisfaction with the party's unity and strength following recent congresses and primaries, noting the establishment of grassroots structures across all 27 council areas, 305 electoral wards, and 657 autonomous communities in the state.

He confirmed that the party's candidates for the three senatorial zones and ten House of Representatives seats have been uploaded to the INEC portal, with House of Assembly candidates to follow. Njesi assured that APP candidates are men of integrity and are prepared to campaign vigorously despite facing harassment.

He criticized the governance of Governor Hope Uzodimma of the APC, promising that an APP administration would focus on human capacity building and infrastructural development.
