Amadi Challenges Rivals Ahead of Imo East Elections

Mazi Chima Matthew Amadi, the Action Peoples Party (APP) senatorial candidate for Imo East, held a press conference at St. Kevin’s Catholic Church in Ogbaku, Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Imo State, where he urged rival candidates to present their records and plans to voters. He stated that the 2027 election should prioritize competence, character, and workable solutions over propaganda and intimidation.

Amadi outlined the APP's campaign focus on addressing local issues such as bad roads, insecurity, unemployment, poor healthcare, and declining public education. He emphasized the importance of representation in the National Assembly translating into tangible benefits for communities.

Amadi invited his opponents to a public debate to allow voters to assess their proposals. He also warned against any intimidation of his supporters and pledged that the APP would monitor the election process to ensure that every lawful vote counts, stating, “The era of writing results in hotel rooms is over.”.
