Tajudeen Urges Nigerians to Evaluate Candidates by Records

On Thursday, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, addressed Nigerians at the graduation ceremony of 4,050 youths trained by the Kaduna State Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, Balarabe Musa Institute, in Kaduna. He urged voters to assess candidates in the upcoming 2027 general elections based on their actions and past records instead of mere rhetoric and campaign promises.

Tajudeen highlighted that many opposition candidates had previously held public office, allowing voters to evaluate their performance. He stated that the political landscape would see familiar faces returning with new promises, but emphasized that a change in appearance does not equate to a change in character.

He called for scrutiny of politicians' management of public resources and their achievements while in office. Tajudeen also challenged critics of the current administration to account for their past performance.

He described the graduation event as evidence of the positive impact of public investment, linking it to the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
