Babachir Lawal Predicts Atiku's Loss in 2027 Elections

Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated in an interview on Symfoni TV that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), will lose the 2027 general elections. Lawal expressed a strong belief that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and his running mate, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, have a 70% chance of winning the election.

He remarked, “Atiku Abubakar will definitely lose the 2027 election. I pray he loses.

I’m not the only one who wants this but he will surely lose.” Additionally, Lawal mentioned that President Bola Tinubu has a 50% chance of success in the upcoming elections. Lawal's comments reflect his ongoing conflict with Atiku, stemming from his resignation from the ADC and allegations of rigging during the ADC primary election that nominated Atiku as its presidential candidate.
