Amadi Predicts Obi's Victory Over Tinubu, Atiku in 2027

Sam Amadi, the Director of Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, expressed confidence that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), will defeat Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. In an interview on Symfoni TV, Amadi attributed this belief to the significant support Obi received during the 2023 elections, asserting that Obi would have been President today if the election had been conducted in a free, fair, and credible manner.

Amadi analyzed the 2027 electoral landscape, suggesting it does not favor Tinubu and Atiku. He noted that Tinubu entered the 2023 election with a reputation for having improved Lagos State, despite a limited campaign.

Amadi emphasized that the 2020 EndSARS protests marked a pivotal moment for Obi, and highlighted that Obi garnered nearly half of the electorate's support, with indications of winning in states like Rivers and Plateau, although the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not declare him the winner.
