Bago Secures APC Nomination for 2027 Governorship Race

Moham Umaru Bago, the current Governor of Niger State, has obtained nomination forms from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest for a second term in the 2027 general elections. The forms were presented to him by Muhammad Manko Abubakar, the chairman of the Farmers Association of Nigeria, Niger State chapter.

Bago emphasized the immense support he has received from farmers across the state, who he noted have felt the positive impact of his administration on agriculture. He stated that approximately 2.7 million farmers are expected to support him in the upcoming elections.

Bago acknowledged the farmers' contributions to stabilizing Niger State and expressed his commitment to continue supporting agricultural development despite the challenges facing the country. He called on farmers to prepare for the next farming season and reiterated his administration's dedication to achieving desired agricultural goals.
