Bago Submits APC Governorship Nomination Form in Abuja

On the date of submission, Moham Umaru Bago, the current governor of Niger State, submitted his governorship nomination form for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja. He commended the party's nomination process for its transparency and adherence to democratic principles, stating that it allowed equal opportunity for all aspirants regardless of their political status.

Bago expressed gratitude to the farmers of Niger State, who collectively raised N50 million to support his nomination, emphasizing their significant contributions despite economic challenges. He noted that the total contributions amounted to N150 million, which he attributed to the impact of government policies on their livelihoods.

Additionally, Bago referenced recent agricultural initiatives in the state, including the flag-off of the 2026 farm season and the distribution of mechanized inputs in Minna, led by the First Lady of Niger State. He mentioned the importance of building consensus among stakeholders and indicated that if consensus fails, direct primaries would be pursued.
