Alia's Achievements Will Define 2027 Election Fate

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State stated that his achievements in infrastructure, industrialization, workers’ welfare, and investment promotion will be the basis for judgment in the upcoming 2027 governorship election. His Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, made these remarks in response to criticisms from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Governor Samuel Ortom's allies.

Kula accused the opposition of resorting to "tantrums, lies and political theatrics" due to their inability to provide a convincing alternative to Alia's administration. He emphasized that the current administration is focused on governance, citing the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hudson Global Ltd for a proposed $5 billion investment as evidence of growing investor confidence.

Kula also highlighted the construction of roads, timely payment of salaries, and the establishment of the Food Basket Bakery as key achievements, contrasting them with the previous administration's record on workers' entitlements and internally displaced persons.
