Binani Joins NDC, Leaving ADC Ahead of 2027 Elections

In a significant political maneuver ahead of the 2027 general elections, Binani has officially joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) after leaving the African Democratic Congress (ADC). She received her NDC membership card on a Friday, nine months after her departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC), where she was the governorship candidate for Adamawa State in the 2023 elections.

Binani's decision to switch parties is part of her strategy to influence the political landscape in Adamawa State. She emphasized that her political journey is driven by the need to address Nigerian issues and that she is already collaborating with the NDC.

Former Bayelsa State Governor Dickson welcomed her to the party, highlighting its inclusive nature and encouraging other politicians to reconsider their party affiliations if they feel their interests are not being served. Binani's previous candidacy in the 2023 elections was marked by controversy, as her victory was later nullified by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
