Wike Urges PDP Members to Deliver for 2027 Elections

At the 109th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja, Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State, challenged party members to deliver electoral victories in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He stated that political power is not a gift and urged members to abandon a culture of dependency, instead advocating for grassroots mobilization and tangible political gains.

Wike emphasized that NEC members should come prepared with contributions and not empty hands. He encouraged governorship aspirants to not be intimidated by perceived obstacles and to remain resilient in their political endeavors.

Wike expressed confidence that the PDP would overcome current challenges and emerge stronger for the upcoming elections. Abdulrahman Moham, the National Chairman of the PDP, commended party leaders for their commitment and efforts to strengthen internal democracy and unity within the party.

Balarab Aboki, the National Youth Leader, initiated efforts to increase youth participation and empower young women within the PDP.
