Coalition Backs Baba Malam Wali for Yobe APC Ticket

On Saturday, a coalition representing 17 local government areas in Yobe State officially endorsed Baba Malam Wali as their candidate for the APC governorship ticket in the 2027 elections. The Coalition Progress Movement, led by Hon.

Moha Musa Potiskum, expressed unconditional support for Wali during a solidarity gathering in Damaturu. The coalition praised the courage of Senators Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan and Musa Mustapha for agreeing to step down in favor of Wali, highlighting the need for unity among APC stakeholders.

Wali, a former Secretary to the State Government, was recognized for his grassroots connections and commitment to addressing insecurity, education, and infrastructure challenges in Yobe State. The coalition's patron, Hon.

Abubakar Bala Dada, urged residents to view Wali as a God-sent leader. Additionally, the coalition called on political stakeholders and civil society organizations to rally behind Wali's candidacy and ensure a level playing field in the electoral process.
