ADC Crisis: Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen Reject Primary Results

A crisis has emerged within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as presidential aspirants Rotimi Amaechi and Moham Hayatu-Deen rejected the results of the party's presidential primary election. Both candidates alleged widespread irregularities and voter disenfranchisement, claiming that a significant number of party members were prevented from participating in the voting process.

Amaechi, a former governor and ex-minister of transport, described the announced results as concocted and stated that he would not accept the outcome, emphasizing that the primary did not meet the expected standards of transparency and fairness. He further accused the party of engaging in practices similar to those criticized in other political parties, including vote buying and manipulation.

Hayatu-Deen also announced his decision not to attend the official declaration of the presidential primary results due to concerns over irregularities.
