APC Defends Governor Idris Amid ADC's Corruption Claims

On 12 September 2026, the Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for attacking Governor Nasir Idris's administration while its governorship candidate, Abubakar Chika Malami, is embroiled in corruption-related legal proceedings. Alhaji Adamu Mudi, the Acting Chairman of APC in Kebbi State, made these remarks during a press conference in Birnin Kebbi.

Mudi emphasized that the people of Kebbi State and the projects executed under Idris's administration would validate his governance, countering ADC's claims of mismanagement. He highlighted various achievements, including road dualization, urban renewal, employment of teachers, and healthcare improvements.

Mudi also questioned ADC's credibility in making allegations against Idris while Malami faces ongoing court proceedings regarding his wealth and alleged corruption after his tenure as Minister of Justice. He stated that the courts have acted on Malami's assets, and the public awaits answers.
