Kebbi APC Defends Governor Idris Against ADC Allegations

The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to allegations of financial mismanagement made by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) regarding the state’s finances. Acting APC Chairman Adamu Mudi Augi addressed journalists at the party secretariat in Birnin Kebbi, asserting that the administration of Governor Nasir Idris has effectively implemented projects across multiple sectors.

Augi highlighted significant initiatives, including the dualisation of the Birnin Kebbi-Ambursa Road, rehabilitation of schools, establishment of science and skills boarding schools, procurement of textbooks, recruitment of teachers, and upgrades to hospitals and primary healthcare centres. He also mentioned the construction of the 250-unit Kauran Gwandu Housing Estate and agricultural support measures such as the distribution of fertiliser, seeds, and solar-powered irrigation pumps to farmers.

The state government, managing a budget of N580.33 billion for 2025, clarified that discrepancies in revenue were due to unrealised revenue rather than missing funds, and emphasized that nearly N240 billion had been spent, including over N152 billion on capital projects.
