Ebonyi Traders Endorse Tinubu and Nwifuru for 2027

On Tuesday, traders operating in various markets across Ebonyi State publicly declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. This endorsement was announced during a traders' convention held in Abakaliki.

Eric Nwigw, the chairman of the Scrap Dealer Association, emphasized the visible infrastructural strides and economic improvements under Tinubu's administration, highlighting ongoing projects such as the Ndibe Beach Bridge and the proposed superhighway linking Ebonyi to Cross River State and Cameroon. Nwigw noted that these projects, once completed, would enhance transportation connectivity and open new economic opportunities for traders and investors in the Southeast region.

Additionally, the traders commended the efforts of both the president and the governor in stimulating commercial activity, increasing traffic around major markets, and improving worker welfare through regular salary payments and the implementation of minimum wage. Israel Ochichi, chairman of the Building Material Dealers Association, praised Tinubu and Nwifuru for their responsiveness to the people's needs and their commitment to delivering on campaign promises, including road construction and the provision of potable water.
