Ebonyi Women’s Group Backs PDP’s Odii for 2027 Election

The AnyiChuks Women Support Care Association, a women's support group in Ebonyi State, endorsed Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the 2027 general election. This endorsement occurred during the group's summit and the inauguration of its ward and local government executives in Abakaliki.

Mrs. Amaka Chukwu, the National President of the group, praised Odii as the leader capable of rescuing the state from hardship and transforming it. She emphasized the collective suffering of women and their determination to support Odii, stating, “We will change Ebonyi State with Chief Ifeanyi Odii.” Chief Mark Onu, the National President of Odozi Obodo Youth Assembly, also spoke at the event, urging women to remain united in their campaign for good governance and highlighting the significant voting power of women, who he claimed have consistently provided 70% of votes in elections since 1999.
