PDP's Odii Urges Security Agencies to Stay Impartial

Chief Ifeanyi Odii, the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 general election in Ebonyi State, called on security agencies to provide a fair environment for all political parties to prevent violence. Speaking to supporters in his Isu Achara community, Onicha Local Government Area, Odii condemned the partisanship of security forces, which he claimed favored the ruling party and allowed violence against opposition supporters.

He stressed that democracy thrives on opposition and warned security agencies against taking sides, asserting that their actions could undermine democracy. Odii also addressed the recent local government elections, stating that the PDP abstained from participating to avoid contempt of court due to previous judgments against earlier elections.

He expressed his commitment to good governance and challenged Governor Francis Nwifuru to demonstrate his achievements, stating he would withdraw from the race if the Governor could prove his effectiveness.
