El-Buba Backs Adebayo for 2027, Warns Against One-Party State

Prophet Isa El-Buba, a renowned cleric, has publicly endorsed Prince Adewol Adebayo, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), for the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. Speaking at an SDP stakeholders' gathering in Abuja, El-Buba warned that Nigeria risks a decline in democracy and could drift towards a one-party state.

He expressed concern over the worsening conditions in the country, despite its vast human and natural resources, highlighting issues such as insecurity, poverty, unemployment, and social injustice. El-Buba criticized the current leadership for denying millions of Nigerians, particularly the youth, access to quality education and economic advancement.

He emphasized the need for collective action to renew commitment to nation-building and urged Nigerians to rally behind leaders capable of restoring public confidence. El-Buba also condemned the culture of vote-buying and called for political consciousness among citizens, asserting that Nigeria cannot continue under clueless leadership.
