El-Buba Endorses Adebayo for SDP Presidential Candidacy

Renowned Nigerian cleric Isa El-Buba endorsed Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a statement made on Wednesday during a gathering of party leaders in Bauchi State, El-Buba called for unity among Nigerians to reposition the country and initiate a better future.

He expressed concern over Nigeria's vast human and natural resources not translating into improved living conditions for citizens, highlighting issues such as insecurity, unemployment, poverty, and injustice stemming from poor leadership. El-Buba warned against the emergence of a one-party state, stating that Nigeria cannot continue under a system that lacks justice and equity.

He emphasized the need for collective action among citizens to change the country's trajectory and restore public trust. El-Buba condemned vote-buying and urged citizens to be politically aware, advocating for a conscious effort to rebuild Nigeria's institutions and overcome its challenges.
