Akwa Ibom to Back Tinubu with Highest Votes in 2027

On Tuesday, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, announced that the state will provide the highest number of votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections. This declaration was made during a consultation event with stakeholders, which included Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, who is seeking re-election.

Akpabio emphasized the importance of consulting party members and stakeholders, stating that despite being the sole candidate for the party, he remains humble and committed to engaging with the community. He expressed gratitude for the support received from President Tinubu, particularly regarding the recent commencement of international flights at Victor Attah International Airport.
