Akpabio Promises Highest Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Godswill Akpabio, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that Akwa Ibom State will provide the highest number of votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. During a consultation event in Uyo, Akpabio highlighted the need for unity within the party and emphasized that despite having no challengers for the party's sole ticket, he would engage with party members and stakeholders to foster support.

Akpabio praised the current governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, for his peaceful governance and commitment to the people. He also acknowledged the recent commencement of international flights at the Victor Attah International Airport, expressing gratitude for Tinubu's support.

Akpabio's statements reflect a strategic effort to consolidate votes in the South-South geopolitical zone for the APC in the upcoming elections.
