El-Rufai Urges Supporters to Back ADC in 2027 Elections

Former Governor Nasir El-Rufai has directed his supporters to vote for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at all levels in the upcoming 2027 elections. This message was communicated by Hajiya Hafsat Baba, the ADC National Vice Chairman for the North-West, during a coalition meeting of El-Rufai's support groups held in Kaduna.

Baba urged supporters to remain united, peaceful, and law-abiding while working to deliver the state to the ADC. The coalition plans to create a database of El-Rufai's supporters across Kaduna State and hold regular meetings to enhance coordination.

Baba also raised security concerns in areas like Birnin Gwari, Giwa, and Millennium City, calling for protection of residents and alleging that over 30 supporters were arrested prior to the meeting. Ibrahim Hussaini, another associate of El-Rufai, countered claims of diminishing political influence, asserting that El-Rufai's supporters remain numerous and that recent events have revealed the true loyalty of individuals within his camp.
