PDP Disowns APM, Clarifies Stance on Political Alliance

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has officially disowned the All People's Movement (APM) and a political gathering that took place in Ibadan, Oyo State. Mohammed Jungudo, PDP's National Publicity Secretary, stated during a press briefing that the party has no connection to the event, which he described as misleading and based on falsehoods.

He warned individuals or groups claiming to represent PDP at such events are acting without the party's approval. Jungudo accused Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde of attempting to mislead the public regarding the political alliance, asserting that the gathering was a mere indication of Makinde's alleged association with APM.

PDP spokesman Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu emphasized that the party remains focused on unity and preparation for the 2027 general elections, dismissing claims of legal and political uncertainty within the party. He reassured party members of their loyalty and commitment to the party's leadership structure.
