PDP and APM Form Alliance for 2027 Elections

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied People's Movement (APM) have officially sealed an alliance to enhance their opposition efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections. The signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) took place in Ibadan, Oyo State, at the PDP South West Secretariat.

The event attracted various party leaders and political stakeholders, emphasizing the need to strengthen political structures against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State attended the ceremony alongside Yusuf Dantal, the national chairman of APM.

Makinde signed the MoU on behalf of the PDP, while Oladel Oyadeji represented the APM. Additionally, Governor Makinde announced his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election under the APM platform, unveiling the "Reset Nigeria" movement aimed at addressing economic growth, job creation, education, healthcare, infrastructure development, power sector reform, and security.

He also launched a campaign website to facilitate nationwide mobilization.
