ADC Challenges Umahi on Tinubu's 2027 Prospects in SE

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State has publicly challenged Minister Dave Umahi's statement regarding the 2027 presidential election, asserting that Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not secure a victory in the South East. The ADC warned that any attempt to intimidate voters could jeopardize ongoing federal infrastructure projects in the region.

Comrade Adolphu Ud, the ADC's state secretary, criticized Umahi's comments made during an inspection of federal road and bridge projects in Ebonyi State, where he urged the South East to overwhelmingly support Tinubu. The ADC emphasized that the people of the South East are known for their independent voting decisions and cautioned against any form of coercion or threats regarding their electoral choices.

The ADC's statement reflects a broader concern about the political marginalization of the Igbo people in Nigeria.
