Umahi Urges South-East to Back Tinubu for 2027 Elections

David Umahi, the Minister of Works and former Governor of Ebonyi State, warned the South-East region to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections, stating that failure to align politically with the All Progressives Congress (APC) could lead to the loss of federal infrastructure projects. During an inspection of ongoing federal road and bridge projects in Ebonyi State, Umahi emphasized that the current administration has committed significant resources to infrastructure development, unlike previous governments.

He highlighted key projects, including the Ndibe Beach road, which spans 123 kilometers and is estimated to cost N450 billion, with 50% of the funds already released. Umahi insisted that the South-East must deliver 100% support for Tinubu to ensure project completion and warned that past voting patterns could jeopardize future federal support.

He expressed confidence that Ebonyi State would deliver 95% of votes for Tinubu in the next election, contrasting with previous outcomes.
