ADC Names Kassim Gana Geidam as 2027 Yobe Gov Candidate

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has adopted Kassim Gana Geidam as its consensus candidate for the Yobe State governorship election scheduled for 2027. This decision was announced in a statement signed by Alhaji Muhammad at the party's state secretariat in Damaturu.

Geidam's emergence as the candidate followed extensive consultations among party stakeholders and aspirants. The ADC commended those who stepped down to support this consensus arrangement, describing their actions as demonstrations of loyalty, sacrifice, and commitment to the unity and progress of the party.

Geidam is noted for his extensive experience in administration, legal practice, and public service, having previously served as a resident electoral commissioner with the Independent National Electoral Commission and as the Attorney General. He has also held significant positions in the banking sector, including head of the legal department at Habib Nigeria Bank Limited.

The ADC has called on its members and residents of Yobe State to support Geidam's candidacy ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
