APC Names Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna as 2027 Candidate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna as its consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship elections in Gombe State.

This decision was reached after a broad consultation process among party leaders and stakeholders, emphasizing unity within the APC. Governor Muhammadu Yahaya addressed party members, highlighting Gwamna's capabilities, political experience, and grassroots appeal as essential for leading the party to victory in 2027.

Gwamna expressed gratitude to the party leadership and stakeholders for their confidence in him, pledging to build on the foundation laid by the current administration. The consensus candidacy was ratified during a meeting that also included discussions on the party's candidates for three senatorial districts and six House of Representatives seats, as well as 24 state House of Assembly constituencies.

Among the senatorial candidates, the current governor selected Ahm Deba for Gombe North and Jerri Damara for Gombe Central.
