Adebayo Adelabu Declares Gubernatorial Ambition for Oyo

Adebayo Adelabu, the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, announced his intention to run for the governorship of Oyo State in the 2027 elections. He made this declaration on Tuesday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan, where he was joined by prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including Chief Kunle Sanda, Chief Isiaka Alimi, and Chief Wale Sanusi.

In his address, Adelabu emphasized the need for the state to receive its fair share of democratic dividends and pledged to implement projects and policies aimed at improving the living conditions of the people in Oyo State. He expressed gratitude to Allah for his journey since 2019 and acknowledged past leaders, including former governors of Oyo State.

Adelabu reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for renewing hope in the party, stating that he believes his experience and exposure will contribute to building a greater Oyo State.
