Adelabu Announces Candidacy for Oyo Gubernatorial Race

Former Power Minister Adelabu declared his intention to contest the Oyo State gubernatorial election on the platform of the Progressive Congress (APC) during an event at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan. The announcement took place on a Tuesday and was attended by prominent party members, including Kunle Sanda, Isiaka Alimi, and Wale Sanusi.

Adelabu, who previously served as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), expressed his belief that the state deserves the dividends of democracy. He committed to implementing projects and policies aimed at improving the living conditions of the people of Oyo State.
