Ambode Endorses Hamzat for Lagos 2027 Governorship

Akinwunmi Ambode, the former governor of Lagos State, has publicly endorsed Obafemi Hamzat, the current deputy governor, as the consensus governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections. In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, Ambode praised Hamzat's commitment to the party and his consultative approach.

He expressed optimism that Hamzat's experience would greatly benefit Lagos State. Additionally, Ambode reiterated his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, emphasizing that Nigeria's prosperity is tied to Tinubu's continued leadership.

He called on party members to work diligently to secure strong electoral victories at both the state and federal levels, urging them to ensure the return of APC representatives to the Senate and the National Assembly.
