FCT Minister Urges APC Women to Mobilize for 2027 Elections

Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has directed the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) women in the FCT to work on reconciling aggrieved members and to intensify grassroots mobilization in preparation for the 2027 general elections. During a courtesy visit from Mrs. Farida Suleiman, the FCT APC Woman Leader, and her executive committee, Mahmoud stressed that the party must not take victory for granted.

She called for outreach to members who feel alienated and highlighted the necessity of a united party to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates. Mahmoud's office is prepared to collaborate with the women’s leadership to ensure inclusive engagement across the six Area Councils.

Suleiman pledged the commitment of APC women to mobilize support for Tinubu, acknowledging the need for deliberate grassroots efforts and community engagement to enhance political support. She described Mahmoud as a capable leader for the APC women in the upcoming elections.
