Ganduje and Gwarzo Meet Shettima Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Tuesday, Abdullahi Ganduje, the former governor of Kano State and current member representing Bichi Federal Constituency, held a closed-door meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima in Abuja. The meeting also included Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, the former deputy governor of Kano State and immediate past Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.

The discussions focused on political developments in Kano North in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. Gwarzo shared details of the meeting on his verified Facebook page, expressing hopes for success in their political journey.

The meeting comes amid ongoing political consultations within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, as they aim to build consensus ahead of the elections. Notably, Dr.

Mahmoud Baba Bichi had previously withdrawn from the race for the Kano North senatorial seat, which is currently held by Barau Jibrin, who is expected to seek re-election in 2027.
