Shettima Meets Kano Politicians Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Tuesday, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, held a closed-door meeting in Abuja with Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, the immediate past Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development and former Deputy Governor of Kano State. The meeting also included Abba Abubakar Kabir Bichi, a member of the House of Representatives representing Bichi Federal Constituency.

The discussions focused on political developments in Kano North as the 2027 general elections approach. Gwarzo expressed his wishes for success and prosperity in their political journey.

This meeting comes shortly after Gwarzo's announcement of his intention to screen for the Kano North senatorial district seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
