Nwifuru Sets Criteria for APC Aspirants in Ebonyi 2027

On Wednesday, Governor Nwifuru of Ebonyi State revealed the criteria for aspirants aiming to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the 2027 elections. He stated that aspirants must demonstrate visible achievements in their constituencies, indicating that those without such accomplishments should not seek re-election.

Nwifuru emphasized that the APC would not repeat the mistakes made in the 2023 elections. His remarks were made during a visit to various project sites, including a classroom block and street lighting projects, which he cited as examples of development efforts in the state.

The governor was accompanied by Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi, and the state party chairman, Stanlei Okoro Emegha. Nwifuru's statements reflect a commitment to ensuring that candidates for the upcoming elections are aligned with the developmental goals of his administration.
