Nwifuru: Only Achievers Will Get APC Tickets in 2027

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has issued a warning to aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that only those with visible achievements will be granted party tickets for the forthcoming elections. Nwifuru stated that the party will not support candidates who lack popularity or demonstrable accomplishments in their current or previous positions.

He highlighted the importance of evaluating aspirants' records ahead of the 2027 elections. Nwifuru commended Senator Peter Nwebonyi for attracting projects that have positively impacted the constituency, including the completion of a three-bedroom bungalow for the APC woman leader in Izzi Local Government Area, Felicia Ogbonna.

He urged members of the National Assembly to emulate Nwebonyi's efforts and emphasized that aspirants must show tangible results to be considered for party tickets. Nwifuru reiterated that the party would not repeat past mistakes and that the upcoming elections would require candidates to complement the governor's development efforts.
