Nwifuru Vows No Candidate Imposition in Ebonyi Elections

Governor Franci Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State declared that he will not impose any candidate on the people ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial elections. Speaking during a solemn wedding ceremony for his younger brother, Paulinu Nwifuru, and Immaculata at the Government House Chapel in Abakaliki, he expressed his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu.

Nwifuru urged the state assembly, represented by Goodluck Obinna Mbam, to avoid over-politicizing the situation and to align their efforts with the destiny of the state. He advised calmness and humility among stakeholders.

Furthermore, Nwifuru disclosed plans to convene meetings with state leaders to discuss achieving a seamless electoral process, which will commence with zonal meetings from Wednesday to Friday. He emphasized that discussions would focus on the Senate, House of Representatives, and gubernatorial elections, while avoiding presidential candidacy topics.
